Quick Updates

Nate and I have been super busy lately and blogging has been sounding very daunting. So I'll do a list instead of taking the effort to write streamlined paragraphs.

-I'm officially certified to teach the cycling class at 24 hour fitness. I had two 5 hour saturdays of training and can now audition to be an instructor. That probably won't happen for a while. The next step is the national aerobics certification and months of practicing with other instructors.

-Last weekend while I was doing my training Nate went four wheeling with Amy and Tara. He loved it and is itching to go again. Tara I guess thought she found some wild cat tracks- see below. FYI Nate probably would like you to know that he was unprepared for this outing. Therefore, he is wearing my sunglasses and Amy's BYU sweatshirt since it was freezing.

-After coming back from my cycling training, Nate had all his mission friends over for some Chimarrao- pronounce shee-ma-how. (i.e. Argentine Mate)

- Last weekend Nate's cousin Michael Ray stayed with us. He is so easy going, he's a great house guest, and he ate the dinner I made- I'll like anyone that eats the meals I prepare:)Thanks for the company Michael, come back anytime.

-Nate has been busy applying to ASU and taking care of FAFSA stuff and dealing patiently with a lot of frustrating advertising prospects at work.

-My job has been really out of control. As of the end of this upcoming week, 2 of us will be handling triple the workload of what was once handled by 5 people. Just nuts.

-Nate and I had been practicing with the stake choir for weeks to be able to sing in our stake conference today. Stake conference is where our ward (our local sector)of about 120 people join up with surrounding wards and meet together for a special giant church meeting with about 400 people. It happens only twice a year. One of the 12 apostles of our church, L. Tom Perry, was the headlining speaker so we were really excited to sing in the choir and to be on stage with him. We sang a crazy/cool BYU Men's choir-ish version of "Come, Come Ye Saints."

-Today we went to my first experience of seeing a temple be dedicated. When temples are first built, they are reserved for a time to be able to be viewed and toured by the public and the church calls it a temple open house. It is a good time to see what exactly is inside the temple for anyone who is curious. After having the temple open house, the temple is dedicated to God with a special ceremony and then closed to the general public. Nate and I attended this special ceremony of it being dedicated to God. It was my first time and I was happy he made the effort to make sure I got to witness this. He's really good about being aware of the stuff I might have missed out on that he has been able to really enjoy, and making sure I experience it. This temple, in a Utah town called Draper, makes the 129th temple in the world. It was a really cool experience and I look forward to maybe being able to see the dedication of the Cordoba Argentina temple.

-Our New Testament class with Ron Bartholomew has been consistently life changing with each Tuesday night class. I am excited to move away from Utah, but I will be really sad to leave the amazing religious resources we have on hand here.

-The weather has been finally warming up here so we had a little bonfire in Provo Canyon on Friday night. Danielle, Dana, Nikki, and Niki's sister Gina came with us, and we had such a good time working on what Nate called a "Dumb girl assembly line." Nate was the only guy. The girls and I intuitively started a S'more assembly line while he was unloading the truck. When Nate came back from the truck and saw how we were handling the S'more making, he was disgusted. Then I accidentally put a S'more down on his seat that I forgot about, so he sat on it and had marshmallow stuck to his black pants. I'm pretty sure Nate will demand a second male for the next bonfire. We of course had to set off some fireworks too- thanks for the pics Danielle.:)

-We're planning on moving to Arizona in the later part of this summer still. Nate hasn't been officially accepted to ASU, but we're still trying to plan and pray to make sure this is a smooth and good decision.

-We're going to AZ this weekend. I'm excited, I need some sun really bad.

That's the two week update. I've probably missed a lot of stuff. I'm sorry I'm terrible at keeping up with blogging. Nate and I love you!
